Questions for the Left
If I were a Republican and totally miffed at the party, I would obviously be tempted to vote for the Democrats wouldn't I? There is no chance for a third or fourth party in America, in my opinion, so common logic dictates that I either vote Democratic or Republican.
Being a logical person, I would feel compelled to find answers to the following questions before I could feel right about changing my vote:
What, exactly, would happen if we actually cease military operations in Iraq?
If we pull our forces out of Iraq, then shouldn't we do the same in Afghanistan?
If we pull our forces out of Iraq and Afghanistan, then why not Korea?
If there is justification for bringing these troops home, then why shouldn't we bring all US forces home?
How would the world be affected by this?
Should we not be concerned about Iran having nuclear weapons?
Can we realistically expect Iran to act responsibly even if we should reach a diplomatic solution?
Should we be concerned about Pakistan having Nuclear weapons while the government there is under assault by Islamic extremists?
Why are we not showing alarm and concern about Red-China's military build up?
What should we feel about Putin's recent actions to suppress Democracy? Is the cold war really over? Why don't we want a missle defense system in Europe?
How can we actually prevent "Racial-Profiling" unless we all become one race? If we're standing on our southern border to guard against Mexicans, and racial profiling has been eliminated, then what?
Why, if we are to eliminate "Racial-Profiling" then shouldn't we also eliminate the Hyphenated-American?
Shouldn't "Racism" be eliminated from the public arena by all races? Why is it "Politically Correct" for all but European-Americans to display racism openly?
Isnt "Political Correctness" a form of thought and speech control when abused?
Can we really justify "Hate Crime" legislation since these laws require us to know a persons thoughts?
We think there may be as many as 20 million people in our country illegally. It has been my experience that figures like these tend to be underestimated. What will the impact be on America if these numbers grow to 40 or 50 million?
If we continue to leave the borders open, can the Democratic party guarantee that people who wish to kill and maim my countrymen or my family will not gain entry through our porous borders?
Why, exactly, do we not want each voter to present proper identification at the polls? We only want American citizens to vote, right?
Why is it that both parties seem to want amnesty for the "Illegals"? Is there a hidden agenda, perhaps? Why are both parties willing to gamble with my life, your life, their lives, and everyone else's lives by failing to obey our laws and control our borders?
If the Democrats can answer these questions satisfactorily then, not only will I join your party in 08, but I will also do my best to sway my friends and family to do the same.
